One week ago today I was content to work at my little store and ask each customer if they would
like to open an instant credit account. I really was happy there. I love all the customer service stuff...
One week
ago today I knew I had a cousin who was vibrant, energetic, healthy, and in love.
In one week's time, I wrote a letter
of resignation, loss my cousin, and accepted a job in a whole new world located a couple of counties over.
Death,
it seems to sneak upon you just when you know that everything is all right. He was so young, not yet 21, and so full of life.
So hopeful of the future.
The same week I attend his funeral, I will be working my last day at my current vocation,
and moving to the same county in which he once lived.
It is uncanny how life works out.
I applied for this
job oh back in September, there was an exam attached to it which was in October and the interview was just a few weeks ago.
How time does fly. I really didn't think I would get the job. I got the call offering the position a few days ago... a few
days after my cousin went into the hospital.
An Anuerism they called it. Blood on the brain. Everyone I talked to
said that he had youth on his side, and that he had a good chance of surviving. It was prophesied that the Holy Spirit was
going to touch him. The next day he was touched. His family had an entire day before his surgery to spend with him. A few
precious hours was all it was. And the next day his condition worsened.
Some may say that the prophesy was false.
I know better. The Holy Spirit did say He was going to touch him. He just didn't say for how long, or what "touch" ment. He
only said he would be touched. Well, my cousin was touched by the Holy Spirit. That day was nothing short of a miracle. My
God definitely did intervene that day. He really was listening. I prayed for Mike to be without pain. I only hope my prayer
is answered. I don't know what his relationship was like prior to his death, But I do know that at one point he believed he
was a Child of God, and because of this, I feel that is why he was touched, and why he is no longer in Pain, for he is in
Heaven. The good Lord will not desert his children who are called by Him. And I feel that is the case with Mike.
As
for my new job? This too is nothing short of a miracle. I was asking for direction, and here it is in plain view of everyone.
I asked for doors to be shut, and here is one wide open for all to see. I merely have to chose to walk through and see what
is on the other side, and I chose to do so.
Now if only the other prayers of my inner heart come true too.
